LOL and LOL

Our Sunday School teacher on Sunday shared how his 4th grade son was sending him emails that all ended with “LOL.” Assuming that his son meant “laugh out loud”, which is the common association with those letters, he told him that maybe he shouldn’t end ALL his emails that way since the tone or topic might not be appropriate for a big “laugh out loud” at the end.

His son said…“oh no, Dad….that’s not for Laugh Out Loud, that’s for Love Our Lord.” And feeling somewhat humbled by that he said, “well son, of course keep right on writing LOL.”

I love to do both…..laugh out loud AND love our Lord. So in the future if you see a text or email from me that says LOL and LOL, you’ll know what I mean.
