I was perusing through facebook not too long ago and I saw where someone had written this:

“May God be glorified and not horrified”.

Now I don’t think you can really shock (horrify) God because, for starters, he’s pretty much seen it all. Besides that, He already knows what we’re going to do or say or how we are going to react.

But I did like that thought….that truly I want to glorify Him in all I say and do …and yet, even today …. I blew it.

And for all those times when I’ve blown it, I’m so glad that I can ask Him to forgive me and, in the words of Psalms 51:10 to, “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.”

And I’m so thankful that He does just that.
