Mother's Day 2009

I had a great Mother’s Day! We went to church and then enjoyed our traditional Mother’s Day lunch at Hungry’s restaurant. I got some precious homemade gifts, a surprise from Bill and enjoyed spending the day with my family.

I saw a poem today that had the first line…“my first baby made me a mother”. I changed some lines to make my own Mother’s Day Masterpiece. I’m sure you’ll be touched.

My first baby made me a mother Then we had another And then another Til finally one day … we added a brother.

OK, I was just kidding about the masterpiece part. And the being touched by it part. :)

Seriously … Caroline, Brittany, Savannah and Jacob…I just want you each to know how much I love you. It is a joy and a privilege to be your mom. I’m so proud of each of you!

A friend told me the other day that when you turn “mom” upside down it spells “wow”. There are certainly plenty of days I feel upside down, but when I look at you four, I always think.. “wow”.
